What's the best way of mitigating an internet addiction? It seems to control my life far too much with this fomo attitude.

>>21539 True. For example, there are Bernds so hellbent on believing they really, really understand the world that they spend time and effort ridiculing others' worldviews. How silly is that?
I believe in the singularity saving us all.

us People and Features You Find Attractive. Bernd 2025-10-20 14:01:07 No. 17077 Reply Last 50
What are some features you find attractive to you? Do certain people embody this features? Apart from my obvious rutiluphilia, I have a peculiar range of features I find attractive. Traditionally feminine features stir me most: soft and slight chins, full but regressed cheeks, bright eyes, soft jaws, full lips, et cetera. Rose Byrne and Rose McGowan are two who embody this fully. Rose Byrne has that lived-in warmth to her skintone whereas Rose McGowan has that flawless porcelain complexion. On the contrast, I also am very attracted to women with big chins. I've sung many praises to Gillian Anderson before with her sharp Anglo-Nordic beauty: her long skinny nose, patrician chin, dry wit and dopamine-laden laughter. Then, there's Jena Malone who captivated me after seeing Sucker Punch. The film is an absolute fever dream trashfire, but its spectacle and aesthetics lingered long after watching it. I would describe her appearance as unassuming and attainable. The sort of arty White girl you could chat up with whatever over coffee.

Damn Dutch. A German supermarket chain is advertising multicoloured carrots as something special because our neighbours to the Northwest just had to go and force their favourite colour onto everybody's fields and plates.

>>21342 There were always orange carrots among yellow and red ones, however orange was the most desirable colour because apparently they had more flavour and wouldn't dye the rest of the food so they were selectively grown. That it has something to do with orange being the national colour of the Netherlands is a myth.

Purple carrots taste better than orange in meals shepherd's pie. The deep pink look too much like dog doodles.

I really don't understand those people that say modern movies are shit. Yeah, maybe modern Hollywood movies, but there still are a lot of promising directors making really good stuff every year, it's just not always in the mainstream and you need to know where to look. Pic rel some examples from last year.

>>20705 Modern movies have no courage. Even if it calls as a "comedy" - actually it's just a depressing movie with low-comedy elements. One word to say about modern movies - "depressing". Even new "Nuked Gun" looks depressing. I don't know how people survive in this all.

il china's debt Bernd 2025-11-09 13:50:36 No. 21263 Reply
I always get myself thinking about the debt of the US, which is enormous, but out of curiosity I decided to check the overall debt-to-gdp of China - a debt that includes households, government, private companies- and they have 300% of their GDP in debt. Meanwhile like Japan and S. Korea they have a rapidly shrinking population that is getting old, leading to more social expenditure and a smaller economy in the future. The US has both lower overall debt-to-gdp and a population in slower decline. Europeans have in general low debt-to-gdp and a country like Germany is even a creditor after decades of surplus. So while china is an enormous manufacturing powerhouse and a net exporter, it seems that they are fundamentally on a dead end. Is my view wrong? What they are doing to overcome this huge debt?

>>21441 Capex will expand until it won't anymore, once the contraction is done the pendulum swings in the other direction again once more, the survivors will take it all. ER guidance remains rather strong and AI is starting to have good success outside of just being a chatbot, i.e. protein folding, weather forecasts or optimizing self-driving. And once this is done, some other expenditure increasing stuff will carry over like private rocketry or quantums, flying taxis or something completely different. Before AI it was obviously all the covid profiteers, with some short intermezzos by electric vehicles until electrics trucks rolling down the hill on their own called in the top there. It's an endless cycle of innovation, swinging like a pendulum. The internet didn't went away and you still made a nice profit if you theoretically invested all your funds at the top of '08.
>>21446 >Also please stop following me around These are my first two posts on this board, schizo
>>21438 China's birthrate is plummeting as fast or faster than the US. Having a large workforce is both an asset and liability. China can compete more effectively as a developing country, but it needs to clean itself up if it wants to retain its talent. It is a big and culturally isolated country however, and can still retain talent. The question will be if China's country actually wants the accountability that comes with being a developed nation. Most leaders don't.
Why should countries care about debt?

First POLISH Glovo courier in like last 5 years just delivered alcohol to my house. I gave him 50 zl of a tip just for nationality. I made him a day with this tip. I can pay such tips to avoid interraction with Ukros and their annoying Russian killer-accent or illiterate shitskins who are too stupid to use intercom after arrival.
