It wasn't long ago that everybody looked at streaming as this big threat that was eventually going to replace everything as the main form of entertainment. Big twitch names were becoming main celebrities, and investors rushed in to pour as much money to create competitors for twitch. But then all of these competitors failed, twitch stopped creating these big names and now it seems more like a side for weirdos wasting their lives and cam girls trying to fish new audience. What happened?
I think the decline of competitive gaming played a big role in it, although I don't know why competitive gaming also failed.
