de Bernd 2025-09-21 08:55:47 No. 11555
Bernd has nothing about Pacifism per se. It's absolutely clear the absence of violence must be the prime objective, an utopia humanity must strive for because every conflict is at the lowest level simply a pointless waste of resources. Bernd just hates most self-proclaimes pacifists because they refuse - or are simply too stupid - to understand that violence and the ability to afflict violence on others is sometimes necessary to avoid further violence in the future. All they ever have are arguments like "slippery slope!" or "but the nuclear holocaust!" or some inaccurate historic reference/analogy. Bernd has a couple of these "pacifists" in his private circle and truly believes most of them lean that way mostly for very selfish reasons instead of the actual "superior" understading of history, ethics, morality etc. they claim to have. Especially the people who would rather flee than fight. The world is already full of bad people. If you allow them to take your land and control your emotions without resistance and flee, or stay hoping the new regime won't be that bad to you and collapse at some point anyways, all you're doing is increase the part of the world governed by bad people and give them a reason to come after you. It never ends if you don't put your foot down and then actually also defend that line where that foot is. Russia e.g. would have stopped fucking around long ago if NATO had simply shot down every military vessel crossing the border illegaly, like Turkey did in 2015. Sometimes such actions are necessary and obviously do work. Cowering in fear never works though.
I don't want to die, so if my country was invaded I would run to somewhere else.

>>11556 They will just invade that "somewhere else" too, then. Also you're suddenly a poor refugee in that other country. That's my gripe with this kind of thinking. People think "I'll just go somewhere else" so easily, but have zero actual idea what that really means in case of conflict.
>>11558 That's better than being dead.
>>11558 The Germans who emigrated to the US during World War II were much better off than the Germans dying in Stalingrad or Auschwitz.
>>11560 That were jews, not Germans.
>>11559 Sure. But you don't get to lecture me on morality etc. if all you are is a selfish coward.
>>11561 Those things aren't mutually exclusive. Okay, there were also Jews from other European countries and also gentiles from Germany and other countries. Still, the Germans (Jews and gentiles) that emigrated were better off than those who stayed in Germany.
>>11561 >>11564 Also, I added Stalingrad. Are you trying to tell me that all German soldiers were Jews, too?
>It's absolutely clear the absence of violence must be the prime objective, an utopia humanity must strive for >proceeds to say why this will never happen and advocate violence that certainly won't help in archiving that goal ever So this is what being superior is like? You don't give any reasons for the "bad people" doing "bad things" first of all. Maybe that would be a start, I hardly care about your naive private cycle that does not understand your wise state man thoughts.
>>11566 >You don't give any reasons for the "bad people" doing "bad things" first of all. You have stuff. I want stuff. I bonk you on the head. I take your stuff. Bad people are invented.
>>11567 So Russia and Ukraine are like children in the sand box? Very insightful how the world works.
>>11560 >The Germans who emigrated to the US during World War II There were no Germans who emigrated to the US during World War II. The US had started implementing strict visa regulations in 1924 and issued quotas on nationalities. Most of those quotas remained unfulfilled because people didn't have enough money to actually claim their spot on the waiting lists. After the annexation of Austria and outbreak of WW II this became even worse. In 1941 Nazi Germany shut down all US consulates on Reich territory, making it impossible to apply even for refugee status in the US. The US therefore cancelled the waiting list and with the US entering the war in December 1941 all migration from Reich territories to the US stopped. Only about 125,000 people immigrated to the United States from German territories in all the years between 1933 and 1945, nearly all of them Jewish. German migration the US was basically already over by 1898, followed by a few peaks around 1903, 1923 and 1950.
>>11566 > an utopia humanity must strive for >proceeds to say why this will never happen You literally failed to understand what an "Utopia" is. Congratulations.
>>11570 >There were no Germans >Only about 125,000 people immigrated to the United States from German territories Which is it now? Also, those people were smart, no doubt.
>>11572 Only rich jews migrated to the US. No ordinary German citizen or jew who ended up in Stalingrad or Auschwitz would have had the chance to just emigrate to the US instead, so the whole > The Germans who emigrated to the US during World War II were much better off than the Germans dying in Stalingrad or Auschwitz. argument for Pacifism is just one of the inaccurate historic analogies. It much rather boils down to > The rich people who were already better off than everybody else and emigrated to the US during World War II were obviously then even better off than the Germans dying in Stalingrad or Auschwitz. It's just another example for how the "I'll just run away!" thing is much harder to pull off in reality than everybody thinks. By the time you realise you now really have to go it's very often already too late.
If anybody here is thinking about just emigrating when the Russians invade, I would suggest you start making sure you have a couple of very, very, very valuable skills right now.
>>11576 That or you just wait three years.
>>11576 Come to Australia instead.
>>11583 Australia and New Zealand have had worse immigration requirements than the US for a long time. Otherwise Bernd would live in New Zealand now.
>>11584 It's fine now, they ended the White Australia policy already, you can come.
