Guys, I've got an AMAZING idea. How about we make this place be about something, instead of existing in opposition to something? For example, the average k*hlbernd will be like "Wow, you want to do things this way? You must be from Reddit!!!!". Therefore, if R*ddit is an overmoderated shithole, then the k*hl must be the exact opposite and allow anything and everything. I say the Kraut should be for autistic interests, serious discussion, country autism, history, philosophy, etc. Secondly, everything else within reason. One thing I've noticed about good boards is that they have that spede/spurdo balance between autistic serious discussions and shitposting. A lot of forums get overly serious and pseudo-intellectual which is annoying and boring. But sometimes on the other side of things like ylilauta or wherever those guys are lately, it's just nonsense 24/7 which also gets boring. But the ways in which the two sides interact when you have them on the same site is always fun.

I don't think it would make much of a difference to have younger people here. It seems there are no youth cultures anymore like there used to be. Or if there still are, those are so niche they are barely recognizable. If I think back to my schooldays in the 90s/2000s you had lots of kids with various different interests everywhere and openly. What is there now? And I think the internet is the reason for it that everywhere is the same. Just the other day it was mentioned that in the 90s only about 1% of the world's population had regular access to the internet. Now it is over 60%. The biggest difference between people these days often seems to be which political side they fall on. Each side with a ton of baggage to it. And little to no healthy exchange between them.
